I graduated from Culinary Institute of America in NY and began working for Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo\, FL in their bakery. I have also worked for The Strathallan in Rochester NY\, Foxwoods\, Mystic Market and Thames River Greenery’s coffee shop. With so many different baking experiences I am excited to now teach and share my experience. This class will be a combination of hands on participation and demonstration by me. No matter what your skill level\, we will have fun\, and you will learn the baking techniques I have developed in my 20 years of professional baking experience. Class fee is $75\, and best of all\, you get to take home what we make! Classes are limited to 6 people\, for the most personal experience. If a class gets cancelled due to lack of participation\, you will be offered a full refund\, or the ability choose another class. Then we’ll jump into classic variations like the Manhattan\, and of course we’ll perfect that Espresso Martini! DESCRIPTION:This Class that Chef Amanda has put together is all about Soup. Nothing like a cold February evening with a hot bowl of soup to warm your hearts and souls. We first start off with Chicken Pozole Verde a soup with shredded chicken\, and hominy mingled with the bold flavors of tomatillo\, chilies and cilantro\, Italian Wedding soup is up next with its savory chicken broth\, mini meatballs and pasta\, how about a hearty bowl of beef and barley: tender beef simmered in a flavorful broth combined with the heartiness of barley. \nFinally soup for dessert! Yes I said soup for dessert: a warm chocolate pudding with fresh whipped cream and caramel cookie dust. \n\nOn The Menu: \n\nChicken Pozole Verde\nItalian Wedding Soup\nBeef & Barley Soup\nChocolate Dessert “Soup”\nWine tasting included\n\nAt Kitch\, our cooking classes are a hands-on experience. You won’t just watch from the sidelines\, you’ll break into groups\, and actively prepare the night’s menu\, with each group handling a different recipe. No matter what your skill level\, you’ll be able to learn new techniques as Chef Amanda helps everyone individually\, as well as addressing the group as a whole during the process of preparing the menu! You’ll be able to interact with the other groups to learn new prep and cooking techniques as well! Once the menu has been cooked\, you will sit down as a group at our elegant farm table and enjoy a glass of wine\, and a sit-down dinner from fantastic meal you have created! Classes are limited to a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 people\, and run between 2 and 3 hours\, depending on the menu and class size. All recipes will be provided to every participant. I graduated from Culinary Institute of America in NY and began working for Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo\, FL in their bakery. I have also worked for The Strathallan in Rochester NY\, Foxwoods\, Mystic Market and Thames River Greenery’s coffee shop. With so many different baking experiences I am excited to now teach and share my experience. This class will be a combination of hands on participation and demonstration by me. No matter what your skill level\, we will have fun\, and you will learn the baking techniques I have developed in my 20 years of professional baking experience. Class fee is $75\, and best of all\, you get to take home what we make! Classes are limited to 6 people\, for the most personal experience.
