I have also worked for The Strathallan in Rochester NY\, Foxwoods\, Mystic Market and Thames River Greenery’s coffee shop. With so many different baking experiences I am excited to now teach and share my experience. This class will be a combination of hands on participation and demonstration by me. No matter what your skill level\, we will have fun\, and you will learn the baking techniques I have developed in my 20 years of professional baking experience. DESCRIPTION:Come join Chef Amanda in this Modern Italian Comfort Cooking Class. A meal filled with lots of flavors and Love…from the refreshing arugula salad\, to the creamy polenta\, to the tender and sumptuous chicken piccata and end with the creamy panna cotta rich with fresh vanilla bean. Sit around the Farm Table for your meal with delicious food\, wine and conversation.\n\n\nOn The Menu: \n\nLemon-Dressed Arugula Salad with Shaved Parmesan and Fresh Made Croutons\nCreamy Parmesan Chive Polenta\nChicken Piccata with Capers & White Wine Pan Sauce\nVanilla Bean Panna Cotta with Berry Compote\nWine Tasting Included\n\nAt Kitch\, our cooking classes are a hands-on experience. You won’t just watch from the sidelines\, you’ll break into groups\, and actively prepare the night’s menu\, with each group handling a different recipe. No matter what your skill level\, you’ll be able to learn new techniques as Chef Amanda helps everyone individually\, as well as addressing the group as a whole during the process of preparing the menu! You’ll be able to interact with the other groups to learn new prep and cooking techniques as well! Once the menu has been cooked\, you will sit down as a group at our elegant farm table and enjoy a glass of wine\, and a sit-down dinner from fantastic meal you have created! Classes are limited to a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 people\, and run between 2 and 3 hours\, depending on the menu and class size. All recipes will be provided to every participant. If\, in order to save time\, Chef Amanda has prepared some items from the menu ahead of time\, she will be sure to explain the process to all. Any cancelations must be at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a refund or credit for another class. No shows/no calls will forfeit the class fee.
