Sandwich Sourdough: The Technique of Tangzhong – In each class, you’ll learn the art of sourdough, explore the health benefits of lactobacillus, and leave with dough ready for the oven plus your own starter to keep the magic going at home. To add to the fun of this class and elevate your sourdough bread. You will learn the technique of Tangzhong. This is a method that involves precooking a portion of the flour and liquid (either water or milk) from a bread recipe to create a thick, gel-like mixture. This precooking step gelatinizes the starches in the flour, allowing them to absorb and retain significantly more moisture than they would in their raw state.

In each class, you’ll learn the art of sourdough, explore the health benefits of lactobacillus, and leave with a boule ready for your oven—plus your own starter to keep the magic going at home.

Classes are limited to 12 for a personalized experience. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Disclaimer: Disclaimer: All Kitch Sourdough classes are cost + tax. Classes must be paid for in advance. If the class size is too small and needs to be cancelled, you have the option of a full refund, or a seat in a future class. Classes are limited to 12 people unless otherwise noted and are on a first come, first served basis. Participants must be at least 21 years of age unless otherwise noted. Any cancelations must be at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a refund or credit for another class. No shows/no calls will forfeit the class fee.
