The innovation leader, CDN has been responsible for many industry firsts and breakthroughs. CDN won the Housewares Design Award for “Best in Category – Food Preparation Electrics” for its Dual-Sensing Probe Thermometer & Timer. CDN products have been featured in the What’s Hot! What’s Cool! new product gallery at the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) show.

Company History

CDN was founded in 1984 by the late Richard Murtagh, an engineer by profession and a cook at heart. He was intrigued by the science of cooking, and he kept coming up with ideas on improving his kitchen measurement tools. Today CDN continues as a growing family business run by Jan Murtagh, President. Her daughter, Shawn DiGruccio, Vice President, works with her to expand the company’s horizons with sales, new product development, new markets, training, and marketing and merchandising programs.
