I started my company back in 2008 when I was laid off from my job as a bedding designer in Southern California. After losing my job, I moved back to my hometown of Detroit and started ellembee –  who knew that getting laid off was going to be the best thing to ever happen to me! 

I’ve been in business 11 years now, and I have a small team helping to make ellembee the best it can be.  Over the past eleven years, we have expanded our line to include women’s tees, tanks, hoodies, jackets, and dresses.  We also have onesies for babies and a small selection of jewelry. In early 2015 we released our new line of tea towels and coasters, and we now have over 150 funny towel designs!

We have a 2,000 square foot warehouse in Wixom, MI, where we print each and every tee and towel by hand, using an eco-friendly, water-based ink.
