The story behind Uncle Carney’s Bootleg starts with our jams. A family recipe was passed down to Glen Carney from his grandmother – he refined and perfected it to give to friends and family to enjoy. Cooking and running the small batch jam operation out of his home, Glen Carney could hardly keep up with requests for more jam. Eventually, word got out that he was creating and distributing this delicious concoction from his home.

As word of the jam’s popularity spread quickly, Glen found himself running up against the law – The jam’s production, distribution, and sales were stalled. Glen had to make a decision – go “legit” and bring this bootleg jam to the general public, or simply keep it a family “secret” as best he could.

Thus was born, Uncle Carney’s Bootleg Jams.

Glen Carney has since had his famous bootleg recipes inspected and tested for mass production and distribution – far beyond the legal requirements for a jam. Each jam’s recipe was carefully crafted to contain the highest quality, smoothest spreadability, and the most unique and flavorful experience packed into each jar.

In addition to the original bootleg jams that started it all, Uncle Carney’s has since developed an all-purpose rub, additional limited batch flavors of jam, and even Uncle Carney branded merchandise – all to serve the ever-growing “bootleg” family.
