Indulge in the delicate flavors of spring with these delightful Asparagus and Goat Cheese Tartlets. These savory tartlets are perfect for brunch, appetizers, or a light lunch. Follow these steps to create your delicious tartlets.

Ingredients:

1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed

4 oz goat cheese, crumbled

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh thyme leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares or rectangles, depending on your preference.

Place the puff pastry squares or rectangles onto the prepared baking sheet.

Use a sharp knife to score a border about 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) from the edge of each pastry square, creating a border.

Prick the inner portion of each pastry square with a fork to prevent it from puffing up too much during baking.

Arrange the trimmed asparagus spears diagonally on top of each pastry square, within the scored border.

Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus spears and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Crumble the goat cheese evenly over the asparagus on each tartlet.

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the asparagus is tender.

Once baked, remove the tartlets from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet.

Garnish each tartlet with fresh thyme leaves, if desired, for added flavor and presentation.
