Relish the crispy, cheesy goodness of Chicken Parmesan, an Italian-American classic perfect for a comforting dinner.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in the beaten eggs, and coat with the breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Place the chicken in a baking dish, top each piece with marinara sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
