This bright and tangy chicken dish is coated in a zesty lemon sauce. Crispy chicken pieces are tossed in a sweet and sour lemon glaze, making it a light yet satisfying dinner choice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (for sauce)
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Coat the chicken pieces in beaten egg and cornstarch.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine chicken broth, lemon juice, sugar, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil.
  4. Mix 1 tsp cornstarch with 1 tbsp water and add to the sauce to thicken it. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Pour the sauce over the fried chicken and toss until evenly coated.
  6. Garnish with lemon slices and serve.
