Grilled eel glazed in a sweet and savory sauce is a Korean delicacy often enjoyed in the warmer months for its energizing benefits. Jangeo Gui is rich, smoky, and perfect for an outdoor dinner.
Ingredients:
- 1 fresh or pre-grilled eel fillet
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
Instructions:
- Mix soy sauce, mirin, sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a saucepan. Simmer until slightly thick.
- Brush sauce over eel fillet. Grill for 5 minutes on each side, basting frequently.
- Slice and serve over rice or lettuce wraps.
