Start your morning with a punch of flavor! Kimchi Fried Rice is a popular Korean comfort food that brings together tangy kimchi, steamed rice, and a touch of spice. Top it off with a fried egg for a satisfying breakfast that’s ready in minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chopped kimchi
  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 2 eggs (for topping)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped kimchi and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
  2. Stir in the cooked rice and mix well until evenly coated.
  3. Add soy sauce and gochujang, stir-fry for another 3–5 minutes.
  4. In a separate pan, fry eggs sunny-side-up.
  5. Plate the kimchi fried rice, top with egg, green onions, and sesame seeds.
