Spice up your pasta night with Penne Arrabbiata, a fiery and flavorful dish featuring a bold tomato sauce with a kick.
Ingredients:
- 12 oz. penne pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil, for garnish
- Parmesan cheese, for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the penne pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer the sauce for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese.
