A warm and hearty bowl of spiced apple oatmeal, perfect for chilly winter mornings. This comforting dish combines tender apples, aromatic spices, and crunchy walnuts for a nourishing start to your day.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water (or milk for creamier texture)
- 1 large apple, peeled and diced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
- A pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
- In a small pot, bring water (or milk) to a simmer.
- Stir in the oats, diced apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and salt.
- Reduce heat and cook for about 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are tender and the apples soften.
- Remove from heat and stir in the walnuts. Serve warm.
