Reinvent your traditional bruschetta with a sweet and savory combination of juicy strawberries, fresh basil, and a tangy balsamic reduction atop crisp baguette slices—a true celebration of spring produce.
Ingredients:
- 1 baguette, sliced into 8 pieces
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush lightly with olive oil, and toast for about 5 minutes until crisp.
- In a bowl, combine diced strawberries and basil, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, reduce the balsamic vinegar until syrupy (about 3–4 minutes), then let cool slightly.
- Top each toasted slice with the strawberry mixture and drizzle with the balsamic reduction.

Suggested Pairing:
Enjoy these bruschetta as a light appetizer with a sparkling Prosecco or a chilled herbal iced tea to accentuate the fruity, fresh notes.
