Reinvent your traditional bruschetta with a sweet and savory combination of juicy strawberries, fresh basil, and a tangy balsamic reduction atop crisp baguette slices—a true celebration of spring produce.

Ingredients:

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 8 pieces
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush lightly with olive oil, and toast for about 5 minutes until crisp.
  2. In a bowl, combine diced strawberries and basil, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, reduce the balsamic vinegar until syrupy (about 3–4 minutes), then let cool slightly.
  4. Top each toasted slice with the strawberry mixture and drizzle with the balsamic reduction.
