Nutty and aromatic, Wild Rice Pilaf is a hearty and healthy side dish.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup wild rice
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Heat olive oil in a saucepan. Sauté onion and mushrooms until soft.
- Add rice and broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until rice is tender, about 25 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper before serving.
Suggested Pairing:
Serve with roasted turkey or baked fish.
